MOTION FOR NEW TRIAL
Decision was reserved by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon on a motion by Mr. E. D. Blundell, on behalf of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company, Limited, for a new trial, or alternatively for judgment for the company. The case was one in which Robert Hansen, a waterside worker, claimed from the company £1014 12s damages and was awarded by a jury £821, for injuries which the plaintiff said he received to his heart and chest when a gangway on which he was working fell about 20 feet. Mr. F. W. Ongley, for Hansen, opposed Mr. Blundell's applications.
