HOSPITAL FOR OTAKI
ESTIMATE OF COST
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
PALMERSTON N., This Day
An estimate of the approximate cost of constructing a ten-bed hospital at Otaki and of the cost of maintaining such a hospital, was furnished to the Palmerston Hospital Board yesterday by the managing-secretary, Mr. A. J. Phillipps. The estimate is £10,000 and if staff quarters are added, the total will be about £12,000 with annual maintenance cost at about £3000. This information is to be sent to the Minister of Health to ascertain if the Department is prepared to agree lo such a proposal.
