ROSE DAY FUNDS

SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE

Although the supply of roses offered to the public of Wellington by the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association was not equal to the demand, the completed returns show an increase over last year not far short of £100.

The sales made in the city and suburban areas this year brought in a total of £635 11s 3d, as against £542 3s 4d a year ago. . Consequently it will be possible for the association and the other organisations concerned to give a considerable amount of help to returned soldiers and sailors who are in difficulties because of ill health or lack of employment.
