RETURN TO LONDON
Queen Mary returned to London* from Harewood House looking and feeling,-in decidedly better health than has been the case for some time past, and she is rapidly regaining 'her wonted animation of spirits, says a I writer in "The Queen" on' September 17. She declares that her rest at Sandiringham has-had a very beneficial I effect upon her, and she is' looking [forward to passing the greater partof the winter at her favourite Norfolk [home. She had, perforce, to- return to Buckingham Palace, since, ■■further last-minute improvements to Marl- ; borough House have rendered it impossible for her Majesty to take over1 'her new home;until'the early part of next.month. She will,: however, install herself there before ,she leaves town, and will assure herself that everything there is in fully working order."' Special attention,is being paid just now at'Marlborough House to the .furnishing and. equipment of a large guest suited arid this is causing the report to be revived'that in future the Princess Royal and the Earl of Harewood will make their headquarters here when visiting London^ and that .they ( will, shortly dispose f of their present house in Green Street,
