A PILOT'S ESCAPE
The pilot of an Air Force autogiro narrowly escaped electrocution recently when his machine struck hightension cables at Fonthill Bishop, Wilts. Had he touched two of the cables a current of 11,000 volts would have passed through his body.
He was Flying Officer C. H. Press, of No. 16 A.C. Squadron, Old Sarum. He was engaged on army co-operation duties,
After striking the wires the machine crashed to the ground, but the pilot escaped injury except for cuts oyec, his right eye.
