SOUVENIR ALBUMS
GIFTS TO CONGRESS VISITORS
The Government, through the Tourist arid Publicity Department, has presented souvenir albums containing views of the Dominion to all the overseas delegates to the Congress of the Federated Chambers of Commerce of the Empire. At a gathering yesterday evening, their albums were presented to the senior delegates from each part of the Empire. Mr. S. J. Collett, Assistant General Manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, representing the Government, apologised for the unavoidable absence of the Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Tourist and Publicity, and Mr. L. J. Schmitt, General Manager of the Department. The recipients included the Rt. Hon. Viscount Elibank, Sir Thomas Wilford, and Messrs. W. M. Birks (Canada), A. Sanders (South Africa), S. H. Taylor (India), R. M. Clark (Australia), and J. A. Alton, CiB.E., J.P. (England). A tribute to the efficient services rendered by the Department was paid by Lord Elibank, who stated that an officer had even been sent as far as Suva to meet the delegates and arrange for their tours of the Dominion at the conclusion of the Congress.
The other delegates received their albums today. ,
