LABOURER DROWNED

DUNEDIN, This Day.
When Edward Bentall Collis, aged 51, labourer, of Lovell's Flat, failed to rereturn from work last evening, his wife made inquiries and was informed by his farmer employer that he had not been at work. Subsequently a boat containing Collis's lunch bag was found floating on Lake Kailangata. The lake was dragged and Collis's body was recovered this morning. It was his practice to cross the lake to reach his job.
