MAPLE LEAF FROCK
A subtle compliment was paid by Lady Bessborough, wife of Lord Bessborough, former Governor-General of Canada, when she entertained many Canadian hostesses whom she had met in Canada, and who travelled to France for the unveiling by the King of the Vimy Ridge Memorial (states a London correspondent). Lady Bessborough introduced a maple leaf in the exact shade of green into her frock, a patterned gown, and her black straw hat.
