TEA MARKETS
The Ceylon tea market this week was about steady for common teas, according to private advices received in Wellington. Medium and- better irades were irregular, following quality, which is now falling off. Prices generally were id to id a lb lower. The Calcutta market was average, with prices unchanged. The London market was steady. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, September 23. Mr. L. M. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of September 22:—Common kinds remained about steady at last week's rates, while quotations for medium and good quality teas eased, and at the close of the auction were |d to id lower. At. next week's sale 1,250,0001b will be auctioned.
