MELBOURNE CO-OP. BREWERY.
Melbourne . Co-operative Brewery Company, Ltd., shares of which are sometimes quoted in New Zealand, made a profit of £86,850 during the year ended July 31, compared with £76,582 the previous year. Already three quarterly dividends have been paid amounting to Is sd, and it is now proposed to pay a final dividend of 6d per share, in all, Is lid, equal to 19.16 per cent. The balance, £4054. is trans-, ferred to reserve account. The company, which holds shares in Carlton and United Breweries, Ltd., valued at £650,000, and hotel freeholds valued at £36,011, has a capital of £431,980 in shares of 10s each. There is a reserve accpunt of £305,621. Besides the assets already mentioned there are Government securities of £51,480, advances of £9105, arid fixed deposit of £13,000.
