A SHRINKING MAN
Hans Johnson, pf Minneapolis, U.S.A., has gained a quarter of an inch in height. It is good news to him, for during several years ended last July Johnson is reported to have shrunk from sft lOin to sft. Doctors attributed his disease to a calcium deficiency, caused by an over-active parathyroid gland (a gland in the neck which controls the body's concentration of calcium). Part of the treatment was a diet of snecial foods containing calcium.
