"A GAY TIME"
33 CLUB DANCE
A particularly gay time was spent by the large number of dancers present at the third dance of the year, hold by the social committee of the "33" Club, at the Mayfair Cabaret on Saturday evening. Bolh rooms of the cabaret were decorated with glittering V 335," the buff walls, with their panels of painting, making an effective background. Small, bright tables on which were placed vases of spring flowers were set round the hall, one end of the room being arranged with comfortable chairs and chesterfields for those sitting out, or not inclined to dance. The Italian and blue rooms were used for the buffet supper, vases of Iceland poppies making the long tables look extremely bright Little Joan Paisley gave some tap dances, and "Wriggle-Etto" (Mr. A. H. Brooks) delighted the guests with his eccentric dances. Mr. Alf Elston amused with songs, and was repeatedly encored. The orchestra was excellent, being
enthusiastically encored after, each, dance. The social committee comprised Messrs. Theo. H. Ashton (chairman), R. M. Stewart (secretary), M. Sanderson, N. Edgar, N. Hannah, and V. Schumacher.
