MR. P. PALMER
Mr. Peter Palmer, who died recently at the Wellington Hospital after a long and painful illness, was born at St. Helens, Lancashire, and arrived in this country thirty-two years ago. He entered the employment of Messrs. Read and Fenwick, glass merchants, later going- into business on his own account, and finally joining the staff of Messrs. R. and E. Tingey, in whose employment he was at the time of his death. ' He was a keen follower of sport in his younger days and was connected with the Wellington V.M.C.A, and the Rovers Association Football Club, and was a keen swimmer and water polo enthusiast. Mr. Palmer married Miss McFarlane, of Seatoun, and lived many years in that suburb. He leaves Mrs. Palmer and two daughters.
