The health ■of the Pope, who il holidaying at the' Castel Gandolfo, is causing anxiety to his doctors, who have prevailed on him to abandon hit daily car ride. "I feel that death is approaching," the Pope' was reported to have told visiting prelates, according to the Rome : correspondent ■ of/ the "Newf Chronicle" on July 1. "I 1 will die in my beloved Castel Gandolfo." His Holiness arrived at the Papal villa of Castel Gandolfo on June 31. Audiences were cut down to a minimum.- It was stated that he was to take a complete rest, as his asthma was most troublesome. He was also suffering from arterio sclerosis, and had to be carried in a chair from/room to room. The doctors stated that his heart wai in good order.
