A NEW STANDARD
REFRIGERATED SHIP LAUNCHED .. ..(British. .Official Wireless.), :'■ RUGBY, September 17. ;/ The.' refrigerated motor-ship Brisbane Star,'of 12,000 tons, built for the Blue Star Line, was launched yesterday at Cammel, Laird's yard; Birkenhead. The vessel is ; 522 feet long and 72 feet in the beam. In the past 10 years the Blue Star Line has built ' 19 steamers at a cost of over £7,000,000. The chairman of the company said that the Brisbane Star represented the last word in refrigerator equipment and would set a new standard. He added that he could see .definite signs of recovery for the shipping industry.
