SPRING SHOW
MANY GOOD ENTRIES The Wellington Horticultural Society has arrangements well in hand for the Spring show which is to be held in the Town Hall on Wednesday next, September 23. His Excellency the Gover-"nor-General, Lord Galway (who, will be accompanied by Lady Galway) will officially open the show at 3 p.m. The entries already coming to hand from exhibitors indicate that there will be a fine display. The mild season with an abundance of moisture has assured spring flowers being at their best. There will'be a profusion of daffodils which always make a charming background to the brighter coloured spring flowers. Then there will be a-galaxy of colour in rhododendrons, azaleas, cinerarias, polyanthus, hyacinths, tulips, ranunculus, etc. The novelty, exhibition, and decorative stands will be very attractive. Pot and rock plants will also be included in the display. Flowers and plants will be on sale at Mrs. Knox,Gilmer's stall. Afternoon tea, will be available' 1 The attention of intend ihg exhibitors is drawn to the fact that entries close definitely at 4 p.m.; on Tuesday, September 22. Late entries cannot be accepted.
