OPOSSUM SKIN SALE
PRICES AT DUNEDIN (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, September 18. Approximately 70,000 opossum skins were offered at the third -sale of the season today, which is probably a record offering for this market. The quality generally was good. There was a good demand from exporters, and in spite of the large offering the market did not show a great deal of change compared with the August sale. Prices may be quoted from par to 3d lower for blacks and browns, and 3d to Is 'lower for light colours. Following is the range of prices:— , Super blues, 13s to 16s 7d; first blues, 10s 5d to 12s 4d; second blues, 8s 7d to 9s 9d; third blues, 4s 3d to 6? 9d; super greys, lis 5d to 13s sd; first greys, 9s to lis Id; second greys, 7s Id to 8s 6d; third greys, 3s 3d to 5s 9d; super reds, 6s 4d to 7s lid; first reds, 5s 9d to "6s lid; second reds, ss'6d to 5s lid; third reds, 3s 4d to 3s 6d; super blacks, 5s 7d to 6s lid; first blacks, 4s 4d to 4s 7d; second blacks, 3s 5d to 3s 9d; third blacks, 2s 5d to 3s; super browns, 5s 6d to 5s lid; first browns, 4s 4d to ss; second browns, 3s 7d to 3s lid; third browns,' Is '6d to 3s 4d; small blue and greys, 2s 4d to 5s Id; small blacks, is 8d to 2s lOd.
