PROFESSIONAL GOLF AT OXHEY
(Received September 18, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, September 17. Results in the fourth round of the professional golf tournament at Oxhey are:— E. R. Whitcombe beat Osborne, 3 and 2. Alliss beat C. A. Whitcombe, 4 and 3. T. Taylor beat Collins at the nineteenth. Rees beat Sutton, 4 and 3. In the semi-finals E. R. Whitcombe beat Taylor, 3 and 2; Rees beat Alliss, 2 and 1.
ADELAIDE CENTENARY ADELAIDE, September 17. The finals of the amateur and professional centenary golf championships, which carry the State titles, resulted:— Amateurs.—Ross Sawers (South Australia) defeated the title-holder, W. Rymill (South Australia), 3 and 2. Professionals.—A. H. Toogood (Tasmania) defeated M. Smith (South Australia), 9 and 8.
