HUTT POWER BOARD
The meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board yesterday afternoon was presided over by Mr. J. J. Maher. It" wes reported that the sales of electricity from April 1 to August 31 totalled £50,679 Is 9d, from which £5490 2s 7d discount was - deducted, leaving £45,188 19s 2d, as compared with £50,295; 17s 7d, less £7026 17s 9d discount, leaving £43,268 19s ,10d for the same period last year. At August 31 the number of consumers was 12,484, ranges 2119, water heaters connected 1826, and the connected load in kuo- | watts 49,021. Fifty-six new consumers had been connected recently, together ! with a'dditions to existing installations I to the total of 65.
