KARORI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
A meeting of the general committee of the Karori Horticultural Society was held last night, when there was a very good attendance. Mr. G. S. Nicoll (president) was in the chair. Motions of condolence were passed to the.relatives of.the late Mrs. W. H. Scammell and Messrs. \V. H.. Gibson, vice-presi-dent, and R. N. Wall. The treasurer's statement showed a substantial cash balance and it was reported that the membership roll was most satisfactory. Arrangements were completed for the spring show to be held at the Parish Hall. Karori, next Thursday, September 24. and the prospects were reported to'.be, excellent. The show is 1o be"opened at 3 lim. by T''". Knox Gilmer, president cf tho Wellington Horticultural Society.
