BRIEF BUT SEVERE
GALE IN N.S.W.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE
SYDNEY, September 16.
The central and north coast portions of New South Wales today experienced a most severe gale of brief
duration,
A house near Mullumbimby was blown to pieces and three persons were injured. Two other, houses were badly damaged. Considerable damage was done to property at Lismore and in adjoining towns. Roofs and verandahs were lifted as though they were paper and carried long distances. Several people were given first-aid treatment. Dairy herds were panic-stricken.
