DEATH SENTENCE COMMUTED
SYDNEY, September 16.
Cabinet has commuted the death sentence on Francis Henry Maudlin to life imprisonment. ■ Maudlin was arrested following the finding of the body of Charles Dawson secreted in a disused shallow well close to Lake Illawarra, on the South Coast.
