CORRESPONDENCE
TULIPS, CLEMATIS, LILACS.
E.D.—(l) The tulips which' come up with single leaves will not flower that year, but provided the bulbs are sufficiently mature they should bloom the following season. (2) The clematis with small green flowers will not alter. The position is nothing to do with it. I (3) Lilacs grown from cuttings, or' suckers will flower eventually, but they are very slow and may take nine years or more to come to profit. Nothing can be done to hasten blooming.
