DANCE AT EVANS BAY

YACHT -AND MOTOR-BOAT CLUB

• A successful dance was held last night under the auspices of the newlyelected social committee of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club. The club house was decorated with buntins, streamers in the club colours (red, white, and blue), Chinese lanterns, and little coloured lights. Although the weather, was not particularly favourable a large number of members and their friends attended the dance and spent a most enoyable time. There was an excellent orchestra and a buffet supper was served. During the evening the. commodore, Mr. A. C. Kellett, .presented Captain and Mrs. W. F. Keane with.a handsome silver afternoon tea service on behalf of the members of the club as a token of their appreciation of the services of Captain Keane during the four years he held the position of commodore. . , , ' ' Among others present were Mrs. Kellett, Mr. and Mrs. Rough, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson.
