TENNIS CLUB DANCE
A happy and successful function was held in the Silverstream Hall recently, the occasion being the annual dance and presentation of trophies of the Silversfream Tennis Club. Representatives of the Kiwi, Arawa, Petone, Defence, and other clubs were present. The hall and the tables in the adjoining supper room were charmingly decorated with : spring ■ flowers and greener, arid about 150 people sat down to a very dainty supper,',; Novelty dances were enjoyed for-which several prizes were awarded, The duties of M.C. were .admirably; Carried .out by Mr.'C Haririibel: ' ' '\ The patron (Colonel Beere) and Mrs. Beere were present, and presented the prizes won during the season, which were as follows:—Sanders Cup (ladies), Mrs. J. Hamilton; Cairns Cup (men), Mr. S. Fyffe; Kiwi Challenge Cup, ■Silverstream Club; Jefcoate Trophy (boy's handicap), Derrick B. Dunn. The arrangements for the dance were carried out by Mesdames Brigham, Hannibel, Jefcoate, Orr; Misses V. Dunn, M. Lycett, and Master N. Dunn.
