HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
■ The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. today. .
• Mr. R. A. Wright (Independent, Wellington Suburbs), in a notice of question, asked the. Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) -if, when the building was erected and the plant installed, it was the intention of the Government to lease the joinery plant to a private firm, or would the plant be controlled by a staff employed by the Government?
"It is thought in Wellington that the building and plant will be leased to a private firm, who will be given an order to erect 500 houses," said Mr. Wright. (Proceeding.)
