DEADLY PLAYTHINGS
CHILDREN WITH DETONATORS
A TIMELY DISCOVERY
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day.
A tin containing 100 detonators wag found under. a fence yesterday by -a small child, who took them to school, where a teacher found. her and her mates playing with them. One child was actually trying to make a whistle out of one of the deadly playthings.
The detonators were handed over to the police. Inquiries, however, have not revealed how.the detonators came to be under the fence where they were found. Had one exploded the consequences might have been tragic.
