NGAIO CLUB

A well-attended annual meeting of the Ngaio Lawn Tennis Club held on September 10 appointed the following officers for the present season:—Patron, Mr. J. H. Jerram; president, Mr. N. D. Macleod; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. G. Lowry, M.P., R. A. Wright, M.P., N. Bell, H. L. Cummings, R. Bringans, J. B. Lea, E. Hicks; hon. secretary, Mr. R. Dixon; hon. treasurer, Mr. D. Porter; club captain, Mr. H. Wilson; committee, Messrs. N. Macleod, R. DixOn, D. Porter, H. Wilson. G. M. Abbott, T. Liddell, S. Morrah, and Misses M. Ross, and B. Prince. The treasurer's report indicated a very satisfactory financial position. It was resolved to hold the official opening day on September 26. As the club is now affiliated to the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association, it was decided to enter a third grade men's team and a fourth grade (men's and ladies') team in the inter-club competition. '
