WAIHOU MURDER
POLICE STILL ACTIVE

Although the staff has been reduced, the police haye by no means relaxed their ■ efforts to solve the mystery surrounding, the death of Ernest Severin j Nelson, who was found murdered onj a Waihou Valley property. From a few hours after the discovery of the crime on the evening of June 9, the police have been continually on the trail arid their . inquiries, which have covered a wide area, have been most exhaustive. ' Apparently the re- ■ ward of £250 offered by the : Justice j Department for information leading to the apprehension of the murderer has not borne fruit ' Detective-Sergeant Walsh, Detective A. Nalder, and Acting Detective Appelin together with three constables, will continue to make their headquarters in RangiahUa Valley. : ; .
