SEQUEL TO COLLISION

A collision between a taxi and a motor-car at the intersection of Lambton Quay and Featherston Street on August 1 resulted in the prosecution before Mr. W. F. StilweU, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday :of the driver of the taxi, Leonard Alex Nash, upon a charge of driving in a manner that might have been dangerous to the public. ' . Sub-Inspector C E. Hoach prosecuted, and Mr. A: H. Macandrew appeared for the defendant. _• Evidence was given that the defendant was travelling along Lambton Quay at a speed of between 20 and 2o miles per hour when his taxi struck a car emerging at a slow speed from Featherston Street.
