FISHERIES INQUIRY
AUSTRALIAN APPOINTMENT
SYDNEY, September 15.
The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, has announced that Dr. Harold Thompson, Director of Fisheries in Newfoundland, has been appointed for five years to take charge of a Commonwealth fisheries investigation. Dr. Thompson, whose salary will be £1000 a year, will arrive in Australia at the end of January.
