DEATH OF MR. A. F. BUSH
DERAILMENT VICTIM
Mr. Arthur Frederick Bush, aged 80, of Buller Street, Picton, who was seriously injured in the train derailment at Paraparaumu on Sunday' last, died at Wellington Hospital at, 2.55 o'clock this morning. •
Mr. Bush was born .at Richmond, Nelson, in 1856, his parents having arrived from Kent, England, in,the previous year. He went to school at Nelson, and moved subsequently' to Wanganui, where he remained until' 1879. In that year he transferred permanently to Picton and lived there as a builder and contractor until the time of his death. He married in 1880, and brought up a family of seven boys and two girls. He lost one son in the Great War and two died subsequently. Mrs. Bush died five years ago. Mr. Bush is survived by one sister, Mrs. T. D. Cummins, (Wanganui), and leaves two daughters, Miss.A. Bush (Blenheim) and Mrs. L. Borck (Taumarunui) and four sons, Albert (Picton), Frank (Taumarunui), Fred (Eltham), and Maurice (Wellington). He was held in high esteem in Picton and occupied a high office in the Lodge of Foresters, as well as. being at various times a member of the Picton Borough Council.
The funeral will be held at Picton on Tuesday. ■
