STAFF DANCE
The Pharmacy Hall presented a y.ery gay and happy scene on Thursday when the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society held its annual dance. In. spite of the bad weather the staff and their many friends were not deterred, and "Auld Lang Syne" came all too soon. Mrs. R. B. Ashe was the hostess and- received the guests in a charming gown of amethyst velvet and silver lame.
During the course ■of the evening a specialty tap, dance by-little Miss Joy Smith, was much appreciated. The Monte- Carlo.'was won by Miss D. Swift and Mr. E. C. Davies, and the Lucky Spot by Miss Bardebes and Mr. K. O. Kemp. Mr. T. Wagg was the holder Of the lucky supper ticket. Excellent music was provided by a good orchestra." '
The committee responsible-for the arrangements were Misses P. James, R. Fitzgerald, N. E. Howe, Messrs. P. W. Graham, T. Wagg, D. A. Petrie, R Croskery, and' F. Hunn.
