The Poverty Bay Hunt Club's Meeting opened today in cold, showery weather. The track was heavy and the attendance poor. Results:—
Awapuni Hurdles, £40; 1$ miles.— 2 Summer Hill, 9.7 (Walsh), 1; 1 Emotion, 10.6, 2. The only starters. Length and a quarter. Time, 3min 6 2-ssec.
Whatatutu Hack Flat Handicap, £35; 1 mile.—s Bothwell (Tremain), 8.4, 1; 4 Skyway, 8.3, 2; 1 Hawthorn, 8.0, 3. Also started: 2 Blygain, 3 Ruinette. Two. lengths; fourth lengths. Time, lmin 50sec. '
