BETRAYAL TO JAPAN
ALLEGED
WASHINGTON, July 14.
John S. Farnsworifo, a former lieu-tenant-commander in the United States Navy, was arrested {today after long surveillance and chained with selling naval information to', the Japanese Government. He was arraigned and pleaded not guilty, "tie was sent to gaol because of his inability to supply 10,000 dollars bail.
Farnsworth, who -was discharged from the service nine! years ago on charges of conduct prejudicial to the service, was said to b^; interested in aviation while in the rjayy.
