CHEAPER FLYING
A newilight aeroplane, which, it is claimed, costs less than a halfpenny a mile to run, 'was demonstrated for the first time in England at the Great West Aerodrome, hear Hayes, Middlesex, recently. It is a British machine, named "Tipsy,1' an& it was tried out" by M. Eyskens, the Belgian airman. The machine is said to be the latest development of thjs type of aircraft. It costs £265/ has a cruising speed of 70 miles an hour, aj top speed- of 98 m.p.h^, a landing speed of 37 m.p.h., and a range of 400 mile's. For. an" hour's run it consumes one and a half gallons of petrol costing 2s 3d, and half a pint of oil, costing 7d.
