•The .Eangimarie links have made flxtraordinarily rapid improvement since they v/ere opened a few months ago, spd they are now in really good condition. The course is a long oneV and although the soil is naturally retentive of moisture,, the" -extensive drainage system which is at present being laid down should rapidly improve the •.wetness which :is at' present 'the only disagreeable feature of it. ' The' rapidity with which'ihe club's membership has filled up is further evidence of the ever-increasing ' popularity of golf in Wellington and of the club itself- among golfers, V
