CALVIN ANNIVERSARY
Arrangements were made last evening by the Wellington Presbytery for the fitting celebration of the 400th anniversary of the coming to Geneva of John Calvin, the great leader of the Reformation.
It was' decided to hold a commemoration Sunday on August 9, and to hold a special united service in the Kelburn Presbyterian Church on the preceding Wednesday.
Arrangements were also made for a churghmeriship campaign to emphasise those things for which Calvin struggled, and to teach particularly the origin, nature, functions, and necessity of the Church, to congregations, officebearers, and young people. This will take place for a month, beginning on September 20.
