UNIVERSITY SUCCESSES

(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, June"24 Mr. L. W. A. Crawley, Auckland University College, who has been reading Classics at Trinity College, Cambridge, has gained first-class honours in the Classical Tripos, Part 11. He has also been awarded a senior college scholarship. Mr. A. J. Raymer (Christchurch and Nelson) also takes a first class in the Classical Tripos, Part If. ■ Mr. T. E. Easterfield, post-graduate scholar in science of the University of New Zealand, was placed among the Wranglers. Mr. A. Salmond (Dunedin) gained second-class honours in the Theological Tripos. The degree of Ph.D. has been conferred by the Aberdeen University on Mr. M. M. Burns (Rangiora) and Miss Moira W. Dennehy (Wellington). Forestry is Mr. Burns's subject and biochemistry Miss Dennehy's. Miss M. E. Mclndoe (Dunedin), Girton College, who has been engaged in a post-graduate course in zoology at the New Cambridge School of Zoology, has taken a second class, division 2.
