BUTTER MARKET
PRICE STILL RISING
BUYERS HOLD OFFE
The New Zealand Producers' Cooperative Marketing Association has today received the, following cablegram from its London office, dated July 14: —
The butter market is very firm, but buyers are not willing to operate on present prices. New Zealand, 116s to 117s per cwt; Danish, 125s to 127s per cwt.
The cheese market continues firm with quotations for New Zealand as follows:—White, 62s to 62s 6d per cwtcoloured, 61s 6d to 625. Average prices for New Zealand butter and cheese in the London market for the past four years as for the second week in July compare as follows:— Butter, Cheese, T . ~ per cwt.' per cwt. Julylo. s . s. s. s 1932. 105 to 108 59 to 60 1933 " 76 to 78 48 to 49 1934 - 73 to 74 48s 6d 1935 .../.... 89 to 90 44 to 45 Cheese above referred to is "white" which constitutes the greater quantity
