UNION FOR GARDENERS
Following the meeting of employees of market gardeners, nurserymen, and horticulturists held at Lower Hutt recently, a meeting of these workers was called in \Palmerston North last night, under the auspices of-the Wellington Labourers' and Related Trades* Union. Fifty were present, and Mr. Just presided. The general.outlines of industrial unionism were explained .by Mr. J. P. Queenan, the local representative of the union, and matters affecting the employment of workers in. :the industry were discussed. A schedule of claims on the same lines as those adopted in the Hutt Valley suras adopted. •
