With every downpour ol' rain for the last fifteen-years the residents iol Waipapa Terrace, Hataitai, have had to carefully avoid the mud until reaching the ssfety otihe street. Sever,-*? times they have petitioned tut dr.Council for a proper pathway, but theis patient expectancy has been unrewarded, end so, at last, they are goins to do it themselves.- This decision was come to recently when some twelve people, met at Mr. A. H. Williams's home and agreed to subscribe |to this scheme. Those affected hope to get a subsidy on the work, which will be put into effect as soen as possible, one person being responsible for each of the several parts into which the terrace has been divided.
