TO THE NAVY BY AIR
FIRST LORD'S TRIP

RUGBY, July 14.
For the first time the First Lord of the Admiralty is to pay a visit to the Navy by air, and land on an aircraft carrier. Sir Samuel Hoare, with members of his staff, will leave in three single-engined Baffin torpedo bombers belonging to the fleet air arm and will land on the aircraft carrier Courageous, which will be off the Isle of Wight, After inspecting the ship. Sir Samuel Hoare will return to London by the air the same evening, the machines taking off from the Courage-
