WATERFRONT IDLE
TWO VESSELS HELD UP

NAPIER, This Day
A waterside workers' strike developed at Napier today, and the waterfront is idle. The trouble occurred over the loading of the Port Dunedin, the men refusing to accept,engagement until payment was made for labour engaged yesterday morning, but cancelled owing to the indefinite time of the vessel's arrival.
The i'aua is also held up. The Kent is due tomorrow,
