ANTI-GAS DRILL
DEFENCE OF SYDNEY
(Received July 14, 1.40 p.m.)
SYDNEY, This Day.
The "Sydney Morning Herald" says that for months past firemen, police, ambulance men, and members of other essential services have been receiving special training in anti-gas measures so that if attack on Sydney by an enemy force ever arises they will be able to carry out their part in the defence of the city.
Fire brigades have been experimenting with a new form of extinguisher which will be their principal weapon in fighting fires caused by incendiary bombs.
