VOCATIONAL LEADS
MUCH STILL TO BE DONE
MINISTER'S INTEREST
(By Telegraph—Pi-ess Association.)
DUNEDIN, July 13.
A request that the present Government should continue to grant to the Vocational Guidance Association the assistance which it had received from the Government in the past was made by a deputation which waited on the Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) today.
•The president of the association thanked the Minister for the deep .interest he had taken in the movement, and said he felt that vocational guidance could best be left to organisations in each centre, as the committees had the full support of employers and commercial bodies.
The Minister said he would be able to answer the inquiry when the Estimates were ready. He expressed his interest in vocational guidance, stating that it was a subject of which only the fringes had been touched.
