LOWER HUTT STREETS
EXTENDING QUEEN'S ROAD
The Lower Hutt Borough Council last evening gave its approval to a proposal to extend Queen's Hoad eastward to Mahoe Street, and the Mayor (Mr. J. W. Andrews) and Councillor C. J. Ashton were empowered to carry out certain negotiations with regard to the land required for the road. This is a portion of the scheme which will probably lead to better northsouth access in the borough.
