Mr. D. J. McGowan has been or-, dered by his medical adviser to. drop all his public duties for six: months^ Mr. McGowan is chairman of the Harbour Board, a member of the council of the Chamber of Commerce ,and a member of the committees of the Free Ambulance and the Winter Show Association.
