COLLEGE RECEPTION
TO SIR JAMES AND LADY
ELLIOTT
On Thursday : afternoon an important gathering is to be held in the Memorial Hall at Wellington College when.old boys, parents, members of the staff and pupils will meet to do honour to Sir James and Lady Elliott. Sir James Elliott is a distinguished old boy of Wellington College and for long years has been a member of the Old Boys' Association, of which he was president on many occasions. Many old boys have received the honour of knighthood for their services, but none of them'perhaps has remained so closely identified with the school as Sir James Elliott. It is .fitting, therefore, that an early opportunity should be taken by those connected with the school to show their high appreciation of the honour recently'conferred. Following the proceedings, which will be of an informal nature, visitors will be entertained at afternoon tea.
