STRIKERS AT NICE

NICE, July 11.
Not wishing to offend King Edward, workers in the neighbourhood who have been on strike for several weeks, hearing that Sir George Clerk, British Ambassador, was arriving to complete arrangements for the King's stay at the Chateau de l'Horizon, called in the pickets and struck the Red Flag which was flying opposite the chateau.
